 He looks forward to welcoming his new patients. “I treat each patient like they are a family member, “ says Dr. Sandhu. “My philosophy as a physician is that I’m here to listen, find out what’s wrong and get you moving toward the best possible outcome.”

In addition, he will focus on treating patients for a variety of non-surgical orthopedic and sports medicine issues. His areas of expertise also include arthritis, tendonitis, sprains, strains, bursitis and fractures (broken bones).

Prior to joining The Center for Orthopedics, Dr. Sandhu completed a Primary Care Sports Medicine Fellowship at the University at Buffalo. During that time he acted as team physician for several university sports teams, including football, men’s and women’s basketball, wrestling and soccer.

Dr. Sandhu received his undergraduate degree in biology from Denison University in Granville, Ohio, his medical degree from Dayanand Medical College in India, and returned home to complete his residency in internal medicine at Fairview Hospital in Cleveland.

He has provided game coverage at many levels including the 2010 Empire State Games, Subaru 5K Marathon and Kensington Lions Club All-Star High School Football Classic in Buffalo. Dr. Sandhu was also the University of Buffalo team physician for football, wrestling and men’s and women’s basketball and soccer. He is a member of the American Medical Society for Sports Medicine, Society for Hospital Medicine and Physician for United States Amateur Boxing.
