A native of the Youngstown area, Dr. Marsh received his Bachelor of Science in Combined Science/Chemistry from Youngstown State University and earned his medical degree at the acclaimed Northeastern Ohio Universities College of Medicine, now known as Northeast Ohio Medical University (NEOMED).
He completed his orthopedic surgery residency at Orlando Regional Medical Center in 2011 and sports medicine fellowship at the renowned Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas in 2012.
While training at Baylor, Dr. Marsh was Team Physician for Houston’s major sports teams, including the Rockets, Texans, Astros, Dynamo and the Division I University of Houston Cougars. “I also learned the surgical skill set of arthroscopy, focusing on shoulder and knee procedures – my two prime areas of special interest,” he says.
In June 2014, Dr. Marsh returned to his home state to expand and complement the team at the Center for Orthopedics. Dr. Marsh is excited about immersing himself in an environment equipped to address orthopedic injuries of any type, in patients ranging from high-caliber athletes to active people of every age and background.
“My philosophy of care is to put my patients’ needs first and educate them about their condition,” explains Dr. Marsh. “It can be challenging for patients to manage all of the information they are exposed to about an orthopedic injury, so my job is to guide them so they can make the decisions that are best for them and that bring the most successful outcome.”
Dr. Marsh is a member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgery, Arthroscopy Association of North America and American Orthopedic Society for Sports Medicine.
